For anyone eager to make some extra money, the Internet is probably the richest source of business opportunities, and blogging is one such great chance to generate income with low costs and little effort. How is that possible? At the beginning blogging started as the modern online diary, but it evolved towards new forms that presently provide both personal expression and money making advantages. Let’s take a look at two main ways to turn a blog into a home-business. The starting point for any online commercial action is the creation of a highly interesting web page.

Anyone running some form of business that could benefit from online promotion may choose blogging as a great form of advertising. A blog targets a special audience segment: those people interested in the products and services you offer. A blogger should therefore create a highly specific web page with content that is relevant for his or her field of activity. There may be references to the promoted products, or just links to them. Most business owners who take advantage of the profit blogging brings, choose to include various options on the pages.

First and foremost, you have to make web search possible directly from your blog; hence, you’ll need to use one of the Google programs that enables such facilities. Then, any blog visitor should have a minimum degree of independence once he or she has accessed your site, meaning that they should be allowed to perform actions: download pictures, documents and files, post comments or simply subscribe for regular updates. In order to make blogging profitable, try to keep a close watch over the traffic the blog receives, and constantly monitor how well it appears in search engine rankings.

Last but not least, blogging is also profitable for those who don’t have a business to promote: you may actually make money by allowing ads and banners related to your domain appear on the site. By the intermediary of the Google advertising programs, Adwords and Adsense, you will be paid for each click a visitor makes on a specific ad, or every time somebody performs a certain action on the blog. You’ll just have to follow the Google Adwords or Adsense instructions and apply them to the blog pages; the best way to generate revenue under such circumstances is to make sure your blog appears on the first result page of the search engines.

Competition is fierce online, and the top places on the search result pages are the most hunted for; therefore, any blog owner who tries to make money on the Internet needs to use a whole strategy to attract the best visitors and the highest traffic. The working principle for the blog optimization for search engines is the keyword. When you start the race for SEO (search engine optimization), you already have an advantage: blogs are usually the ones to receive more traffic then other complex sites due to their highly informational content. By keywords we mean those sentences or structures that a user types in the search box of an engine.

Blogs mainly rely on articles that are regularly updated and re-freshened, so that they have something new to offer all the time. Before you write the blog content, you’ll need to make a list with all the keywords related to your domain and which are most likely to be typed in the search box by Internet users. A brain-storming session is ideal to find the best structures you need to include in the articles; keep in mind that there are some rules you may have to follow here as well.

For instance, choosing some very general keywords is not the best way to promote a business via a blog given the fact that though you may receive a high traffic, the profit could remain modest. The explanation is very simple here: too broad terms attract all sorts of users, even those that are not interested in purchasing something. SEO experts use all sorts of parameters to check the profitability of a blog, and one of them deals precisely with the number of relevant users the web-page gets.

Once you manage to get the most high-in-demand keywords, you’ll still have to do a lot of work in order to keep the blog position high in traffic. The status of keywords may change from one day to the other, given the intense competition that characterizes the Internet in general; consequently, every time you update or change the site content, you need to perform a keyword analysis beforehand and see where they stand in rankings. Last but not least, there is one thing that remains the golden rule of search engine optimization: quality informational content, that should be the essence of any successful blog!

Blogging Has Excited Millions

Blogging is one of the most popular Internet-related phenomenon that has incited the curiosity of millions of people all over the world; it represents a great opportunity for those who create blogs and for those who use them. Very often qualified as the trend of keeping personal diaries online, blogging is far more complex owing to the fact that every web log carries the touch of the owner’s imagination, interest and wit. The range of topics blogs deal with is incredibly wide: from politics and economics to sky diving and snorkeling. The next very important aspect after blog content is actually the interactive format of the pages that allows users to take action on the site.

Some History Of Blogging.

Part of the history of blogging includes the very first attempts to run an account of one’s personal life, and many of the blog owners liked to call themselves journalists or diarists. In the early days of blogging around the mid-90s, people enjoyed the experience of belonging to the online community that went beyond all sorts of boundaries. This was the time when the very first combination of text, pictures and videos were included in a blog, as the most accurate way of reflecting one’s life. Sometimes, bloggers transmitted live images with the help of various portable devices, creating the so-called semi-automated blogging.

How To Have A Successful Blogging Experience.

At the beginning, blogs were not individual pages, as they mainly functioned as components of larger websites; nevertheless, with the rapid development of technologies, it came into everyone’s power to create and support a personal independent web log. The only condition to enjoy a successful blogging experience is to stick to high quality content that makes any visitor return to the site and even take action on it. Creativity and innovation are probably the best ways to define the blogging experience since we can identify a true craze to be seen online.

Blogging A Promising Business

Presently, you can find guides to creating successful blogs, since, many small business owners perceive the phenomenon as a great chance to promote products and services online. Blogs are presently part of the Internet marketing strategies anyone should use as included within online advertising campaigns; the great advantage of blogging is that it mainly targets potential customers, reducing the number of uninterested users. We could say that thanks to advertising and Internet marketing, blogging has actually become a very promising type of business.

Blogging 101 Revealed Secrets

Once the secret of blogging was out, the interest in special tips and tricks to make it profitable soon knew a remarkable upsurge. The 101 revealed secrets for highly profitable blogs has actually become a common notion online, since the competition is tight, and achieving good blog traffic becomes crucial for the survival online. If you make a top ten list of the best ways to improve traffic and you simply post it on your blog, you could soon realize there are plenty of people who take it as a rule of the thumb and pass it on like a hot potato.

One such blogging 101 trick is to get links or profiles on very popular websites that have already got a great name in the business. How can you convince them to accept your request? Well, sometimes it pretty much depends on good fortune, but usually, you’ll have to email them an intention letter with a detail description of your blog. It would probably be a good idea if you looked for some online marketing tips before presenting the hot features of your web page. Don’t worry if you don’t get results from the first attempts, try with others, since once you get a link on their site, your blog will profit immensely.

We cannot avoid mentioning the fact that there are all sorts of “hidden” tricks that are nevertheless used to attract traffic and increase rankings. For instance, blog popularity often comes when links to your pages are added multiple times on other sites, not to mention that the creation of a large number of accounts also leads to a higher ranking thanks to the bonus points that are usually offered in return. Some bloggers have used innovative, yet doubtful, methods, such as Google, Yahoo or Microsoft site purchase to increase their traffic and the list of examples could easily go on.

In order to spread the word about your blog, you can always turn to RSS; this is probably one of the best ways to make a special intro for a new blog on the web. Most blog services are also RSS feed generators, in case you lack this tool, you can always turn to Feed For All software to create the feeds. A site such as www.feedforall.com will definitely be a good starting point for a novice of the blogging adventure, since, presently the RSS is the best means of making your blog popular.

This year It is expected that the number of internet users will reach over two billion globally, and with these statistical numbers it makes sense to take full advantage of the online economy and its future prospects.

Absolutely They Are!!

In a recent press release by Scoop.co.nz it was revealed in a survey that only 34% of Kiwi businesses own a website and only 20% use e-commerce according to the latest MYOB Business Monitor. Apparently NZ retailers are ahead of our Aussie counterparts when it comes to an online presence, which is fantastic for Kiwi’s, however the survey revealed that Australian businesses are faster to adopt social media as a key strategy to marketing themselves online.

This year It is expected that the number of internet users will reach over two billion globally, and with these statistical numbers it makes sense to take full advantage of the online economy and its future prospects.

Only 34% of Businesses In New Zealand Own Websites

With only 34% of NZ Businesses owning a website and only 20% selling products and promoting their services online means that these businesses have the advantage over their competition, the longer you’ve been online the better it is, so if your reading this and you don’t have your own website I strongly recommend you get on board as soon as possible.

According to Colmar Brunton, 50% of manufacturing businesses were the fastest to adapt to the internet by owning a website, followed by retail and hospitality businesses at 48%. It also stated that the adoption rate of the two countries were very similar with 35% of businesses in Australia owning a website and that further that New Zealand retailers outstripped our Ozzie counterparts, with only 36% of Australian retail businesses being online.

The general manager of MYOB Julian Smith said that the results of the survey highlighted an opportunity for NZ Businesses to engage in the global online economy – which would make significant productive gains for the New Zealand economy in comparison to Australia.

Know I certainly agree with Julian when she said that businesses that do have a website, and trade online, perform better – generating more revenue gains than businesses without a website. When businesses need to look at ways to boost their revenue getting online would help them achieve real results as long as it is done correctly. Hiring an Internet Consultant first can save you an enormous amount of time, money and frustration.

Owning A Website Means More Revenue

Apparently from the MYOB monitor 44% of businesses with a website receive more sales or orders than compared to just 30% of businesses that don’t have an online presents. When looking back at the last 12 months, 37% of businesses with a website reported an increase in revenue, while only 28% of businesses without a website saw an increase.

Christchurch leads the way with online activity, with 37% of all businesses operating a website, followed by Auckland on 36% and Wellington lagging behind, with only 31% of their businesses owning a website.

According to the Monitor, small and medium enterprises in New Zealand are most active online, with 68% owning a website, while only 28% of sole traders have an online presence.

From this survey it was apparent that only 14% of businesses were using social media to support business marketing strategies online. The survey, however, showed a generation gap in the use of social media, with only 22% of business owners under 40 using social media tools to promote their business, compared to 11% of those in the over-40 age range.

Australian businesses are more aware of the benefits of social media, with around 18% using social media for business purposes.

The survey also provided an insight into how Kiwi businesses used the internet, with12% writing blogs or newsletters to promote their business, 14% using social media, 22% advertising online, 29% monitoring competitors online, 35% conducting online research and monitoring industry trends.

General manager Julian Smith also said that MYOB was focusing most of its NZ$90 million R&D investment fund on finding ways to get more businesses online and help them use the internet more productively.

Apparently New Zealand’s internet economy has become an issue of national significance – one that needs to be addressed not only by individual businesses, but by Government, agencies and business leaders.

I for one agree, there is this opportunity for all kiwis to embrace this, it could provide immediate benefits to New Zealand. And without doubt, could be the world’s most connected economy that would provide a very significant advantage to Kiwi businesses of all kinds.”

Why Link Building Marketing is Important?

Because “Link Building Marketing…. Increases your traffic potential and helps to develop better Search Engine Ranking” of your website.

Over the past 12 months as a result of the significant changes within Google’s Search Engines, Link Building Marketing has never been as important as it is today to secure good search engine rankings, this marketing method alone can produce top rankings within Google, Yahoo and Bing driving a considerable amount of free traffic and customers to your website.

What is Link Building Marketing?

Link Building Marketing is a strategy where you actively seek out other websites with which to enter into a linking arrangement called text linking. Many websites today maintain a special page on their site specifically for the placing of links to other websites of similar or better quality (e.g.: Your site might be a PR1 (PR Page Rank) and the other websites may have a similar or higher PR). For your website or another website to enjoy the full benefit of such an arrangement, one website should link to the other, and a reciprocal link should be placed on the other website back to yours.

To maximise the benefits of this arrangement, it is extremely beneficial to use text links rather than banner links, and you should definitely ensure that anyone linking back to your website should use specially selected text that includes your keywords that you have selected to promote your website in the Search Engines.

What are the Benefits of a Link Building Marketing Strategy?

The main benefits of link building marketing arrangements are that it assists you greatly to achieve a higher ranking in Google, Yahoo or Bing. And the greater number of reciprocal links you have, the better your website will perform in the rankings. Many well established websites in the world have upwards of 10,000 plus reciprocal links, and any website that wants to continually improve its rankings should implement a policy of gradually growing their linking efforts, we call this the link velocity strategy, in other words, the speed of which your site gains links is important, I explain this below. A website with 100 links will always find it easier to maintain a higher ranking position in the Search Engine than a website with only 20 links.

There is also another significant benefit that warrants having a Link Building Marketing strategy. It provides you with free traffic. And if you are reasonably selective about the websites that you link to, you have the ability to target specific markets and in doing so improve the quality of that additional free traffic.

Beware of the Dangers of Speedy Link Building?

A very common and potential danger is getting sandboxed by Google which is a real threat from what seems to be an increasing demand by website owners’ who have the desire to speedily develop the number of reciprocal links too quickly by joining Link Building agencies or networks, that are quite happy to take their money and build links for them without educating the website owner of these issues.

Over the last year Google has become aware of websites that are link building simply to attempt to manipulate their Search Engine rankings. As a result Google is taking action and it is now possible to have your site sandboxed (banded) by Google ….and this is something you need to avoid at all costs.

How to Develop an Effective Link Building Marketing Strategy?

You can develop an effective Link Building Marketing strategy by addressing this issue and also by building your links gradually, set yourself a reasonable goal to achieve a weekly or monthly target for a specific number of links to achieve during this time period.

I recommend downloading a copy of the free Google Toolbar which will then install itself within your web browser. Once completed, every time you visit a website you will see in the centre of the Google Toolbar a small Grey Bar that when you run your cursor over it, will give you the PR rating of that website. When identifying websites to exchange links with check the PR Tool and try and ensure that you exchange links with sites of an equal or higher PR rating than your website has.

If you are consistently implementing your Link Building strategy on an ongoing basis, you will gradually find that your Linking efforts will increase and your website will benefit with higher PR ratings and improved page rank positioning in the Search Engines, which also mean and improved quantity and quality of traffic to your website.

Last but not least, before starting your Link Building Marketing Strategy, ensure you optimise all your web pages for the search engines this way the link love coming back to you will be greatly appreciated and this will help to ensure your links to them are receiving the same amount of link love.

Below is an SEO Analysis showing a website of mine that only has two links to it and ranks #1 on page 1 of Google. The website below this site is in the number 3 position and has 3,117,785 back-links to its website and you would expect this site to be in the number 1 position with this many back-links. Sometimes speed linking as you can see is not the answer or the way to get top search engine rankings. Focus your intent on web page optimization and develop a slow but sure attitude to developing a consistent effort towards building your links and you will surely win out in the end.

Optimizing Your Blog For Search Engines

Competition is fierce online, and the top places on the search result pages are the most hunted for; therefore, any blog owner who tries to make money on the Internet needs to use a whole strategy to attract the best visitors and the highest traffic. The working principle for the blog optimization for search engines is the keyword. When you start the race for SEO (search engine optimization), you already have an advantage: blogs are usually the ones to receive more traffic then other complex sites due to their highly informational content. By keywords we mean those sentences or structures that a user types in the search box of an engine.

Before You Write Your Blog Content

Blogs mainly rely on articles that are regularly updated and re-freshened, so that they have something new to offer all the time. Before you write the blog content, you’ll need to make a list with all the keywords related to your domain and which are most likely to be typed in the search box by Internet users. A brain-storming session is ideal to find the best structures you need to include in the articles; keep in mind that there are some rules you may have to follow here as well.

Broad Keywords For Your Blog May Not Be Profitable

For instance, choosing some very general keywords is not the best way to promote a business via a blog given the fact that though you may receive a high traffic, the profit could remain modest. The explanation is very simple here: too broad terms attract all sorts of users, even those that are not interested in purchasing something. SEO experts use all sorts of parameters to check the profitability of a blog, and one of them deals precisely with the number of relevant users the web-page gets.

Keeping Your Blog High In Traffic

Once you manage to get the most high-in-demand keywords, you’ll still have to do a lot of work in order to keep the blog position high in traffic. The status of keywords may change from one day to the other, given the intense competition that characterizes the Internet in general; consequently, every time you update or change the site content, you need to perform a keyword analysis before hand and see where they stand in rankings. Last but not least, there is one thing that remains the golden rule of search engine optimization: quality informational content, that should be the essence of any successful blog!

“Where There’s a Will There’s Away”

Some of the most common things I hear from my clients are

“but I can’t drive enough traffic” or “it’s too hard to make sales” or “there’s too much competition” or “I can’t do it!” ”Hmmm” Sound familiar?

Well, the thing you must realize is that your beliefs do determine your reality, it’s the Law of Attraction working at it’s finest. And the fact or reality is, you have a “choice in fact we all have free will and choice” in what you believe and what you do and how you react.

I’ve been in your shoes at one point, I had to start from the ground up, I had to face the EXACT same obstacles as you are facing right now.

BUT, I stayed consistent and more importantly I believed in myself.

Don’t ever limit yourself, don’t ever lose the battle before it’s even begun.

“For me, the union of spirituality, self-actualization and lifestyle has been a passionate journey filled with personal struggles and tribulations, profound lessons and a countless number of both big and small miracles have occurred in my life that have awakened the core essence of my being and the purpose for my life . The possibility for anyone to create a whole lifestyle that blends his or her inner identity, personal desires and career aspirations is not just a practical reality, but also a pre-determined responsibility and great blessing. In my life, I’ve exchanged lessons and gifts with many people, as they accompanied me for a time on my personal or professional path of True Purpose. Through my blog or site, I wish to attract the company of like-minded, gifted people, who are meant to cross paths with me and to share in the advancement of our individual life purposes and greater potential to restore balance and understanding of our inheritance.”

I came across this pretty awesome video, which really sums up everything for me and I hope it will do the same for you………..

Entrepreneurial Spirit

Congratulations! Your business is really getting along, you’re paying the bills, reaping the financial rewards and maybe even taking an occasional afternoon off to play golf or get your hair done! But you’re noticing something else as well. Your team isn’t as passionate and people aren’t putting in the same amount of effort and working those long hours. They don’t seem as enthusiastic, and what was once a mission, is now seemingly nothing more than a job for you and for them.

It’s a fact, managing an established company is not as exciting as the journey of creating the company, especially for those who are true entrepreneurs. You begin to realize that if you are going to continue to prosper and to grow your company, somehow you’ve got to reenergize the team and reintroduce that entrepreneurial spirit .

Tips on how to light that Entrepreneurial Spirit again

Value employee input

Remember when you had the great idea to start your business? You did everything possible to turn that vision into a reality. It was exciting, frustrating, nerve-wracking and rewarding all at the same time. You created innovative ways to solve problems, worked insane hours and wore many different hats. Your loyal staff members felt like their contributions made a difference and they were an important part of the organization. In short, that entrepreneurial spirit was soaring.

Valuing employee input, even after the initial idea blitz, is critical to a growing company. Successful businesses have one significant thing in common. They keep this energy alive. It is the unique driving force that motivates employees, inspires a long-lasting entrepreneurial work ethic and lifts new companies above all adversaries. In today’s fast-changing business environment, you and your team members need to be looking for the next big idea. If you don’t recognize it, your competition will.

For example, if you continue to create an innovative environment where employees are constantly challenged to find creative solutions to customer problems. “Rather than a company doing the same thing year after year, just isn’t going to cut it,” “It is essential to look for new innovations and create a dynamic, creative culture where there is an incubation of ideas. One should listen to the market, and give employees an opportunity to go with it and grow with it.”

Reward risk-takers

Employees want to feel valued, suggest ideas without fear of retribution and know they have a future working on new and exciting projects with a growing company. To keep the entrepreneurial spirit alive, reward risk-takers. It’s up to you to compensate innovation and generate enthusiasm. But don’t worry; it doesn’t need to be expensive. In fact, stock options are taking a backseat to variable compensation packages tied directly to individual and company performance. Simple bonus programs, profit sharing, special events, trips, and other awards go a long way to build a creative culture that encourages risk-taking and employee involvement.

Look at the organizational structure

Maybe your company’s entrepreneurial spirit was crushed by a new organizational structure. How has your infrastructure changed since you started your business? Can you make decisions quickly or are there “too many cooks in the kitchen” slowing down the process? To maintain a high-performance environment that exudes entrepreneurial spirit, review your company’s organizational structure. It’s essential to focus on the objectives that add value to your business. Take a serious look at who is actually doing the work and striving to reach company goals. Also note that it’s a two-way street. Employees should educate themselves and constantly build skills to be the best in their particular field. Although it can be difficult to let go of loyal employees, make a commitment to hire and keep the right people with the right skills, and cut those who can’t keep up. A lean and effective staff is an important part of making changes quickly, developing new ideas and maintaining a competitive edge. It’s not the worst thing in the world if staff members know that their key to job security is extraordinary performance.

Keep the customer connection

What about your connection with customers? Are you still listening to their complaints, suggestions and compliments on a regular basis or is there a thick layer between you and your top team members and the marketplace? As a business grows, it’s easy to concentrate on other issues and lose valuable customer relationships. Always remember that these are the people who make or break your business, and their input is essential to your success. Be sure to find out firsthand why they buy your products or services or go to the competition. You did this when you first started your business and the entrepreneurial spirit was driving you, so why stop now?

Don’t lose the exciting and successful culture you’ve worked so hard to create. Focus on core values, compensate contributing employees fairly, put key people in direct contact with customers, and develop a simple organizational structure to keep your company’s entrepreneurial spirit alive and well.

The key to getting good traffic is perseverance and service quality.

Blogging traffic Tactics

The blogging phenomenon perfectly integrates in the second generation of web services know as Web 2.0 since this is the most convenient platform for all Internet moves. What is there for bloggers with Web 2.0? First of all, the whole aim of the new web-technology is to facilitate collaboration and sharing between users, on the one hand, and increase the usage rate on the other hand. The next legitimate question that rises here touches on the best ways to attract traffic in the conditions of the transition to blogs that are sources of highly functional content.

Blogging Articles for Advanced Search

First and foremost, I need to say here that with blogs web information is no longer centralized in terms of authority, not to mention that the freedom to use and re-use material is limitless. From a certain point of view blogs become a real market, in which content is the transaction environment. Hence, Web 2.0 traffic tactics mainly gravitate around the optimization of blog articles for advanced search on the search engines. Though it may be very tempting, don’t aim too high from the very beginning, it is almost impossible to get large numbers of visitors form the first blogging days.

The user spends more time on your blog…

The key to getting good traffic is perseverance and service quality. Content has to be re-freshed every week if not more often; in order to make that an easier task, it is enough to change some of the content, even if you don’t replace it all. With the large number of applications available with Web 2.0, you should place a Google search box directly on the site, so that any user may find it comfortable to perform any further search directly from your blog page. What’s there for you? You make the user spend more time on the site and, consequently, you increase the chances of his or her returning to the blog in the future.

People are now more interested in blogs that have RSS feeds; well, you’ll have to let Internet users know that as soon as you can! Initially, graphics were the best means to indicate the presence of an RSS feed; the great advantage now is that you can adjust the very colors used for this attention sign to the theme or topic specific to the blog itself. The system is created in such an easy to use way that all you have to do is insert the text and the color scheme and then a graphic pattern is generated immediately.
